If you’ve attempted to make red icing before and it only turns out pink, here’s what you do.
You use Wilton Red (No Taste) food coloring. You’ll use quite a bit. I always like to add a little Wilton Red Red too. Then you have to let that icing sit for 24 hours for it to become dark.
Also the trick to black frosting, is chocolate frosting and adding Wilton Black food coloring. I’d advise to stay away from the liquid food coloring. It thins out your frosting.
